Frequently Asked Questions

What options are there for KS4 pupils?

All students must take combined science, English language and mathematics GCSEs or iGCSEs. Additionally, PSHE is a compulsory non-examined subject. 

Students may choose three options from the available options subjects. To see the options subjects, visit our Curriculum page and scroll to the KS4 section.

What provision is there for SEND?

All students at The Levels School benefit from:

  • A specialist therapy team on site
  • Staff with specialised qualifications in teaching children with dyslexia and co-occurring difficulties
  • Small class sizes to promote and encourage a love of learning
  • A calm sensory environment
  • Neurodivergent-friendly classrooms
  • Use of assistive technology
Can I fund my own child's place at the school?
Yes, we welcome privately-funded families as well as those funded by local authorities. 
What paperwork will I need to gain my place at The Levels School?

Ideally, copies of recent reports, EHCP and EdPsych reports where applicable will be needed. These will be stored in accordance with GDPR.

Can I visit the school?
We encourage prospective parents and students to visit the school before applying for a place. You can attend one of the Open Mornings or Afternoons that we run throughout the year. Alternatively, once we recieve a young person's paperwork and we feel that we are the right learning environment for them, our Admissions Officer will arrange for you to visit us.
